The town of Arrow Rock, MO is a designated a National Historic Site and is very quaint with a few small businesses - a country store/coffee shop, several bed & breakfasts, a restaurant/tavern, an antique shop, and post office. Lots of history here, obviously. We’ve been here three times before and it is one of our favorite places in this area. We were here in 2006 when we followed the Lewis & Clark Trail, again in 2008 on our way to Alaska, and again in 2010 when we followed the Oregon Trail. This is one of the places that a lot of the people came through headed west on their historical journeys. We didn’t realize it, but this area was the starting point of the Santa Fe Trail (maybe another trip in the future??).
It didn't take long to start getting more birds at our feeders - Chickadees, hummingbirds, and Summer Tanagers. The oriole feeder has nectar inside like a hummingbird feeder, but it also had some little cups on top that LaVerne puts grape jelly in. The tanagers really like it!

Red-eyed Vireo (not a seed eater, but a visitor just the same)
The cold front that came thru really did drop the temperatures. Thursday morning it was 50, then 42 on yesterday (Friday) morning and again today. It's been sunny and beautiful, but a might cool! Today it did warm up into the mid 60's and, after a move across the street to our favorite campsite that came open, we spent a nice day just camping. We took a long walk around the campground and later had a nice campfire and cookout.
Our new site across the street
We're here until next Tuesday, so more later.
